The device for the recording of optical signals is specially suited to use in the field of devices for the recording and processing of image information. At least one camera and one recording device are provided. A flow of information from the camera to the recording device is coordinated by a control unit. The control unit comprises an image analyzer which initiates the recording of the image on the recording device when at least one item of specified image information is detected.
