Abstract
The network includes several nodes (10,12,14). At least one node comprises a transceiver, a first antenna with a small beam (16) and a second antenna with a large beam (18). A switching unit connects the transceiver with either the first or the second antenna using. A node switching unit stores control information for the other nodes. Either the first or the second antenna is used for communication with the nodes according to the stored information. Preferably, the first antenna is a reflector and the second antenna is an omnidirectional antenna. ADVANTAGE - Enables optimised transmission of data when one or several nodes are used as switching nodes.
