Title

Driftrohr fuer ein Ionenmobilitaetsspektrometer

Other Title
Drift tube for ion mobility spectrometer has plastic or ceramic layer on metal sleeve removed to form groove so conductive contact surface or contact element makes electrical connection between drift tube rings.
Abstract

DE 10347656 A UPAB: 20050629 NOVELTY - The device consists of a cylindrical metal sleeve (1) made up of individual drift tube rings (6) with several outer annular grooves at intervals and an outer plastic or ceramic insulating layer (5), whereby the plastic or ceramic layer is removed to form a groove (8) so that a conductive contact surface (7) or contact element makes an electrical connection between the drift tube rings DETAILED DESCRIPTION - AN INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method of manufacturing a drift tube for an ion mobility spectrometer. USE - For an ion mobility spectrometer. ADVANTAGE - Improved in terms of operability and the generation of a homogeneous electric field and is also compact.
