Vorrichtung zum Zuweisen und Schaetzen von Uebertragungssymbolen

(A1) Es wird eine Vorrichtung zum Zuweisen von Uebertragungssymbolen zu einem Mediadatenstrom von Informationssymbolen beschrieben, wobei der Mediadatenstrom einen ersten Teilstrom zur Darstellung eines Mediainhaltes in einer Basisqualitaet und einen zweiten Teilstrom mit Zusatzdaten zur Darstellung des Mediainhaltes zusammen mit dem ersten Teilstrom in einer verbesserten Qualitaet umfasst. Die Vorrichtung weist dabei eine erste Einrichtung zum Zuweisen erster Uebertragungssymbole zu den Informationssymbolen des ersten Teilstromes auf und eine zweite Einrichtung zum Zuweisen zweiter Uebertragungssymbole zu den Informationssymbolen des zweiten Teilstroms, wobei die ersten Uebertragungssymbole gegenueber den zweiten Uebertragungssymbolen ueber einen Uebertragungskanal mit geringerer Fehlerwahrscheinlichkeit uebertragbar sind.
