Abstract
High-energy polyesters are produced by converting halogen-containing or halogen-free di- or poly- carbonic acids or their derivatives from the group of acid halides, amides or esters using halogen-free or halogen-containing diols or polyols by polycondensation into halogen polyesters and converting these into a nucleophile substitution reaction with a light metal acide into polyesters containing azide groups. Such polyesters are particularly suitable for use as binders for propellant and explosive systems.
