Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer photovoltaischen Solarzelle mit den Verfahrensschrittena. Bereitstellen mindestens eines Solarzellenprecursors mit zumindest einer Basis und zumindest einem Emitter;b. Anordnen einer Metallfolie an einer Rückseite des Solarzellenprecursors.Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in Verfahrensschritt B zur elektrischen Verbindung der Metallfolie mit dem Solarzellenprecursor in einem Verfahrensschritt B1 eine Mehrzahl metallischer Kontaktelemente an der Rückseite des Solarzellenprecursors ausgebildet werden, welche mit der Basis oder mit dem Emitter elektrisch leitend verbunden sind und in einem Verfahrensschritt B2 die Metallfolie mit den metallischen Punktontakten in Kontakt gebracht und mit diesen elektrisch leitend und mechanisch verbunden wird.
