Vorrichtung sowie Verfahren zur dreidimensionalen Abbildung eines relativ zur Sensorsanordnung bewegten Objekts

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Sensoranordnung sowie ein Verfahren zur dreidimensionalen Abbildung eines relativ zur Sensoranordnung bewegten Objekts mittels einer Kombination aus Radartechnik und optischer Abbildung. Bei dem Verfahren wird ein dreidimensionales Radarbild des Objekts erfasst und mit einem mit optischen 3D-Sensoren generierten 3D-Oberflaechenmodell des Objekts so fusioniert, dass das Radarbild auf die Oberflaeche oder die direkte Naehe der Oberflaeche des 3D-Oberflaechenmodells fokussiert wird. Das 3D-Oberflaechenmodell wird dabei auch zur passgenauen Projektion der Radardaten und optischen Texturdaten genutzt. Das Verfahren und die zugehoerige Sensoranordnung ermoeglichen eine realitaetsnahe Darstellung des abgebildeten Objekts.

The method involves producing a three-dimensional (3D) surface model of an object (1) from measurement data of a 3D camera (3) e.g. time-of-flight (ToF) camera, of a sensor arrangement. Information related to a surface profile of the object is obtained from the 3D surface model for projecting and focusing radar data (6) of the object detected by a radar detector (2) of the arrangement on the surface model. A 3D radar image of the object is produced from the radar data for image representation in a correct position, orientation and size on a surface of the 3D surface model. An independent claim is also included for a device for 3D imaging an object, comprising a sensor arrangement.
