Abstract
Sensor element (100), comprises: a first chamber (110); a second chamber (120); a membrane (130) which is arranged between the first chamber and the second chamber; and electrodes (140), which are designed to produce a field to carry out an impedance measurement in the first chamber, where the membrane is designed to provide a supply of biological material located in the first chamber adjacent to the membrane, based on a nutrient solution, which is located in the second chamber to allow nutrients, without filling the first chamber completely with the nutrient solution. An independent claim is also included for supplying the biological material with nutrients, comprising: providing a sensor element, and generating a field in the first chamber with electrodes to carry out an impedance measurement, and supplying biological material, which is located in the first chamber adjacent to the membrane.
