EP 767257 A UPAB: 19970516 Prodn. of integrated electrodes (8) in structured plastic moulds made of a non-conducting plastic comprises: (a) producing a structured plastic mould on a carrier plate (1) which is permeable to electromagnetic radiation; (b filling the structure of the plastic mould with a solution of a metal compound; (c) irradiating the metal compound solution with electromagnetic radiation from the reverse side (2) of the carrier plate through the plate, where the electrode is formed on the structure; and (d) removing the metal compound solution from the structured plastic mould. Prodn. of multilayered electrodes in structured plastic moulds is also claimed. USE - The moulds with integrated electrodes can be used for current-less, galvanic or electrophoretic deposition of materials, and for analytical processes. ADVANTAGE - High quality electrodes can be produced in microstructured moulds.
