The additive for improving the barrier properties consists of a mixed oxide, which is generated from two completely oxidized suboxides, a mixed oxide, which is generated from a completely oxidized suboxide and incompletely oxidized suboxide, a mixed oxide, which is generated from two incompletely oxidized suboxides, and a mixture made of oxide and additive with the ability for further oxidation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The beverage packaging comprises polymer basic material consisting of polyethyleneterephthalate and an agent for improving the barrier properties of the polyethyleneterephthalate against gases. The additive for improving the barrier properties consists of a mixed oxide, which is generated from two completely oxidized suboxides, a mixed oxide, which is generated from a completely oxidized suboxide and incompletely oxidized suboxide, a mixed oxide, which is generated from two incompletely oxidized suboxides, and a mixture made of oxide and additive with the ability for further oxidation under oxygen binding, where the individual suboxide is used in different phases. The difference of the refractive indices between the agent and the polymer basic material is highly 25%. The oxide is present in the form of nano-scale particles. The oxide of the additive is an incompletely oxidized transition metal oxide. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for producing a beverage packaging. USE - Beverage packaging useful as beverage bottles in food technology. ADVANTAGE - The beverage packaging can be economically produced with high barrier properties against moisture, gases and radiation, high resistance to fracture and high quality, and achieves desired additional synergistic effects and desired optimal transparency.
