Abstract
New agonist (competitive inhibitor) and/or inhibitor of amyloid formation peptide is 3-15 amino acids in length and contains at least the active sequence GA. USE - The new peptide is useful for inhibiting amyloid formation and associated cytotoxicity in the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer's disease and spongiform encephalopathies (e.g. CJD, scrapie and BSE).
