Die Erfindung betrifft ein mobiles, tragbares Kommunikationsgerät (M), das im Zusammenwirken mit signalaussendenden Referenzbaken, deren Position in einer "elektronischen Karte" (Maps) bevorzugter Weise im Kommunikationsgerät abgelegt sind, sowie im Zusammenwirken mit im mobilen Kommunikationsgerät (M) vorhandenen Sensoren (Mmov), die dessen Bewegung zu erfassen bzw. daraus dessen Position zu berechnen gestatten, eine genaue Ermittlung der absoluten bzw. relativen Position des mobilen tragbaren Kommunikationsgerätes ermöglicht.
