Title
Verfahren zur Herstellung von sphaerolithischem Nitroguanidin
Other Title
Process for the production of spherulitic nitro guanidine
Abstract
In the production of spherulitic nitro guanidine of high bulk density and tap density, nitro guanidine is converted to solution in dipolar aprotic solvents, e.g. DMF, DMSO, NMP or similar, by heating to above the saturation temperature t<-s, and the oversaturated solution is cooled at a controlled temperature gradient (degrees C/min), whereby the crystal formation is supported by adding granular spherulitic material. In order to maintain spherical nitro guanidine in a continuous process with a high yield and reusing the mother liquor, spherical control grain with a diameter of 5 to 500 <my>m is regularly added to the solution at an amount of 0.05 to 5.00 percent by mass, whereby the grain size is selected so that spherical control grain continues to be represented at the given volume in the oversaturated solution in dependence on the solution characteristic of the nitro guanidine used and its concentration when undershooting the saturation temperature.
