Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abgasbehandlungseinrichtung für Abgas (1) einer Kleinfeuerungsanlage, aufweisend eine Ionisationskammer (2) und einen der Ionisationskammer (2) nachgeschalteten Fliehkraftabscheider (6), wobei die Ionisationskammer (2) ausgebildet ist, das Agglomerationsverhalten von Partikeln zu verbessern, und wobei der Fliehkraftabscheider (6) eine Abgasrückführeinrichtung (17, 18) aufweist, mit der nach Durchströmung des Fliehkraftabscheiders (6) ein Teil des Abgases (1) wieder zum Eingangsbereich des Fliehkraftabscheiders (6) geführt werden kann, um einen gewünschten Volumenstrom im Fliehkraftabscheider (6) zu ermöglichen. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein zugehöriges Verfahren.
