Optical component which is manufactured using known methods using the process stages of milling, polishing centring, cleaning and coating, characterized by the fact the coating absorbing the unwanted light is sintered onto the edge and/or corners. The coating is applied immediately after the process of edge centring by sintering a substance onto the edge of the optics section by the thermal impact of an energy source.
