Receiver, transmitter, communication system for subband communication and methods for subband communication

Receiver comprising a frequency transformer; wherein the frequency transformer is configured to transform a received signal having a communication bandwidth to output a plurality of first subband signals each having a first bandwidth and wherein the frequency transformer is configured to transform the received signal to output a plurality of second subband signals each having a second bandwidth, wherein the first bandwidth and the second bandwidth differ and wherein the receiver is configured to filter the plurality of first subband signals or the plurality of second of subband signals with pulse shape filters; wherein the receiver is configured to determine a first message based on one or more of the plurality of first subband signals and wherein the receiver is configured to determine a second message based on one or more of the plurality of second subband signals; wherein the communication bandwidth is larger than or equal to the first bandwidth and/or the second bandwidth.
