A device (1) for microscoping test cells, tissue cuttings or similar organic material basically consists of closed cultivation chambers (2) consisting of a receiving area (3) for the organic material. The chamber (2) has an observation window (5) arranged transversely to the direction of observation (4) for an optical observation device such as a microscope and/or camera and furthermore has an inlet opening (6) and at least an outlet opening (7) for a nutrient broth. In the chamber (2), a physiological sensor (9 to 14) is arranged adjacent to the receiving area (3) and the organic material. Thus, measurements can be performed on the organic material located in the chamber (2) during observation with the microscope, for example, to determine the pH, oxygen content and/or temperature.
