Abstract
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Anti-Haft-Beschichtung fuer Druckgusswerkzeuge zur Verringerung der Anhaftung des zu verarbeitenden Materials an den mit dem zu verarbeitenden Material kontaktierenden Oberflaeche der Werkzeuge. Die Beschichtung besteht zumindest teilweise aus einem kohlenstoffbasierten Schichtsystem.

DE 19834966 A UPAB: 20000330 NOVELTY - A non-stick coating for pressure die casting tools, comprising a carbon-based layer system, is new. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (i) a pressure die casting tool provided with the above non-stick coating; and (ii) production of coatings on pressure die casting tools by gas phase deposition, especially CVD or PVD, of a carbon-based layer system. The carbon-based layer system is a diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer e.g. a-C, i-C, a-C:H, Me-C:H or Si-C:H, where Me is especially Ti, W, Cr, Nb or Ta. USE - The tools are used for casting light metal alloys (claimed), especially die casting dies and cores for casting aluminum and magnesium alloys. ADVANTAGE - The coating forms an adhesion preventing, wear resistant and low friction surface on die casting tools, avoids the need for parting agents and/or lubricants, increases the tool service life, improves the cast surface quality and reduces the occurrence of casting rejects and tool fracture.
