A pyrotechnical sediment for the spontaneous production of environmentally compatible non-toxic gases consists of an homogeneous mixture of guanidine 5.5' azotetrazolate (GZT), a physically stable oxidator in powder form and a suitable combustion regulator of corresponding grain size distribution which is processed into moulded shapes of suitable geometry in corresponding pressing tools with the help of a binding agent.
