The invention relates to a continuous process for manufacturing spherically crystallized nitroguanidine, whereby: a) crystal nuclei are formed in a spiral tube cooler with an external cooling media derived from a hot, saturated solution of nitroguanidine and b) further crystalization is then performed by a stirring cascade in the usual manner.
