Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verankerungsstuetze fuer eine Herzklappenprothese und ein Verfahren zu deren Herstellung. Fuer die Verankerungsstuetze (Stent) wird ein Formgedaechtnismetall verwendet, mit dem erreicht werden soll, dass die Verankerungsstuetze gemeinsam mit einer Herzklappenprothese, ohne groesseren operativen Eingriff, durch die Aorta bis in die unmittelbare Naehe des Herzens gefuehrt und dort implantiert werden kann. Erfindungsgemaess ist hierfuer die Verankerungsstuetze als einteiliger Koerper, der aus stabfoermigen Elementen, die zumindest teilweise eine Gitterstruktur darstellen, gebildet.
