Title
Other Title
Biosensor e.g. ultra-sensitive complementary metal oxide semiconductor biosensor, for measuring concentration of analyte within e.g. solution, has resistive layer contacted with medium and arranged between medium and sensor electrode
Abstract

US 20090066347 A1 UPAB: 20090403 NOVELTY - The biosensor has an electrical charge storage (130) including a sensor electrode (132), and a resistive layer (140) including an electrical resistance, which changes upon contact with an analyte (110). The resistive layer contacts a medium (120) e.g. solution, and is arranged between the medium and the sensor electrode during contact with the medium. A number of electrical charges (142) stored in the electrical charge storage passes through the resistive layer. A measurer (150) measures an effect of the electrical charge existing on the sensor electrode or leaking off. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for producing a biosensor for measuring a concentration of an analyte within a medium (2) a method for measuring a concentration of an analyte within a medium. USE - Biosensor e.g. ultra-sensitive complementary metal oxide semiconductor biosensor, for measuring a concentration of an analyte within a medium e.g. solution, foodstuff, and environmental pollution. Uses include but are not limited to chemical biosensor, potentiometric and conductometric biosensor, optical biosensor, and micro gravimetric and calorimetric biosensor. ADVANTAGE - The resistive layer contacts the medium and is arranged between the medium and the sensor electrode during contact with the medium, and the number of the electrical charges stored in the electrical charge storage passes through the resistive layer, thus allowing the biosensor to be easily handle with highly sensitive.
