Title
OPTOELEKTRONISCHE SCHALTUNG
Other Title
Optoelectronic integrated circuit for multiplex data communications - has interface with light conductor for monochrome light source connected to light conductor system including optical coupler with two branches on each side.
Abstract
DE 19522591 A UPAB: 19970205 The optoelectronic integrated circuit contains a first interface (7) for a first light conductor, for an essentially monochrome source (5) of light having a first wavelength (lambda-s). This is connected to a light conductor system with four branches (1-4), including an optical coupler (11) with two branches on each side. The first branch is connected to the interface, the second to the source, and the third and fourth contain wavelength selective reflectors (10',10'') which reflect only the first wavelength. The third and/or fourth branches are connected to the light signal detectors (6',6'') respectively. The connection of the light signal detectors on one side of the optical coupler, and the light signal source on the other side of the optical coupler, is to reduce the electrical cross-talk to the opposite sides. ADVANTAGE - Wavelength multiplexer-demultiplexer is produced in integrated circuit form.
