The invention relates to the use of a polymeric corrosion inhibitor or of a mixture comprising at least one polymeric corrosion inhibitor having the formula (R1)aA(R2X)b where a = 0 - 3, b = 1 - 5, A is a bridging structural unit, R1 is the same or different and is H or an aliphatic, aromatic, olefinic, cyclic, heterocyclic, polycyclic or polyheterocyclic radical, R2 is the same or different and is a polymeric base skeleton, X is the same or different and is a functional group selected from the group consisting of amides and imides of carboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids and polycarboxylic acids, the molar mass of the polymer is between 200 and 10 000, preferably 400 and 6000; as a corrosion inhibitor for the surface of anodized metals selected from the group consisting of aluminum, titanium, vanadium and alloys of the aforementioned metals.
