A storage device for a maritime object for storing electrical energy and/or data comprises at least one storage cell, an interface to the maritime object having at least two contacts for making electrical contact with the storage cell, a seal for the interface and a retaining mechanism. The seal for the interface is designed to be deformed upon locking by means of a locking force such that the contacts are sealed relative to an environment and that a retaining force is maintained after locking. The retaining mechanism is designed to exert the locking force on the seal upon actuation.
