Abstract
A sensor for the detection of a substance in a liquid consists of a housing, a resonator and a sealing device. In order to increase the mass sensitivity of the sensor and preferably to adapt it to the requirements of biosensor engineering, the sealing device is formed by two cast silicon seals which run in the direction of the surface extension of the resonator and beyond, said sealing device having contact surfaces for direct and indirect mutual contact and, moreover, being designed in such a way that they surround the external area of the resonator in the direction of the surface extension of said resonator.
