(B3) Die Erfindung betrifft Verfahren zum Herstellen von Flachspaenen fuer strukturorientierte Holzwerkstoffe. Das Verfahren umfasst die folgenden Verfahrensschritte: - es wird aus lignozellulosehaltigem Material ein Vorprodukt erzeugt; - das Vorprodukt hat eine Laenge von zwischen 20 und 200 mm; - das Vorprodukt wird einer hydrothermalen Behandlung unterworfen; - die Einwirkungsdauer betraegt wenigstens drei Minuten, und die Einwirkungstemperatur betraegt wenigstens 40°C; - das Vorprodukt wird einer Zerspanung oder Spaltung unterworfen.

ADVANTAGE - The method facilitates production of the strand material from preliminary products such as maxi chips and flat chips, which contains high portion of expressed laminar strands and less fine goods portion, and requires less energy for chipping.
