Abstract

WO 2008031629 A1 UPAB: 20080417 NOVELTY - The micro-antenna contains a resonant antenna structure with an edge length that is formed from inductive element (12) and capacitive element (13). The inductive element has a magnetically soft filling material (14) for large reduction in parts and the edge length averages to 10 millimeter. The soft magnetic material is arranged in multiple layers separated from each other by an insulator (15) for elimination of electrical eddy currents. The antenna structure sends and receives in the frequency range 0.3 gigahertz to 24 gigahertz, particularly 0.3 gigahertz to 2.4 gigahertz. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a communication device containing a micro antenna and additionally a switching configuration for adjusting the resonant frequency of the antenna. USE - Micro-antenna for near-field communication. ADVANTAGE - The micro-antenna contains a resonant antenna structure with an edge length that is formed from inductive and capacitive element, the inductive element has a magnetically soft filling material for large reduction in parts and the edge length averages to 10 millimeter, and hence enables reducing dimensions of the antenna, and avoids the losses of the antenna.
