Other Title
Laser device with several laser light emitting diodes - has microlens arrangement with collimating or divergency reducing microlens for each individual emitter beam.
Abstract
The laser device has several diodes which emit laser light preferably low order mode light. The diodes are arranged in a plane parallel to each other and at a distance (D) from each other. The diode light beams (10) are collimated or divergency reduced vertical to the plane in which the diodes are arranged. The diodes are formed as individual emitters (11). For decoupling from each other, the diodes are spaced by a distance. This prevents the beams from the individual emitters running into each other before the beams enter into a micro-lens arrangement. The microlens arrangement has a collimating or divergency reducing microlens (16) for each individual emitter beam. Preferably each lens is arranged at a distance (E) from the emitter. ADVANTAGE - Enables diode power to be scaled without reducing specific power and beam quality.
