Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Elementes aus polykristallinem Diamant sowie danach hergestelltes Element

(A1) Ein Verfahren dient zum Herstellen eines vorzugsweise optischen Elementes aus polykristallinem Diamant, wobei ein Substrat mit einer zu einer Oberflaeche des Elementes komplementaeren Oberflaeche geformt, diese Formung dann durch Diamantabscheidung beschichtet und anschliessend das aus Diamant bestehende Element entformt und vor oder nach dem Entformen fertigbearbeitet wird. Das Substrat wird zur Bildung der komplementaeren, zumindest eine sphaerische Flaeche aufweisenden Formung spanend bearbeitet und anschliessend mit polykristallinem Diamant mittels Diamant-CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) ueberwachsen.

The diamond is finished either before or after being removed from the mold. The substrate is machine cut to form the complementary molded product. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preferred Features: The substrate is made from silicon or molybdenum. The substrate is molded by grinding. USE - Used as a part of a mechanical test key tip, or as an optical lens, part of a microscope lens, a laser lens or a coupling lens for optical fibers (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The element is easy to produce.
