The invention relates to a solar module having a transparent cover under which is located a solar cell. To achieve better efficiency, the invention proposes to provide the outer surface of the cover with grooves having a prismatic cross-section, and the reflection from the surface of the cover is reduced by the suitable selection of the crown angle of the grooves.
