Hydrophobe resorbierbare Polyester und deren Verwendung

New hydrophobic resorbable polyesters (I) for medicinal use are prepared by treatment of resorbable homo- or copolyesters with fatty alcohols (II) and/or fatty acids (III) or derivatives of these. USE - (I) are useful for the coating of surgical implants and as a galenic medium for the delivery of therapeutics (claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I) have increased hydrophilic characteristics whilst maintaining its biocompatibility. (I) also have increased rate of biological degradation.
