Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Ausbildung eines Funktionsbereiches an einem Blech mit zumindest einem Umformwerkzeug, wobei Material des Bleches axial oder radial gestaucht und Werkstoff des Bleches in einem Formhohlraum unter Bildung einer Materialanhaeufung verschoben wird. Das Verfahren und die Vorrichtung sind dazu geeignet, umformtechnisch Materialanhaeufungen um Loecher und Druchbrueche und Aussenkanten zu ermoeglichen.
