Katalysatoren fuer die Herstellung von Polyestern, insbesondere Poly(alkylenterephthalaten), deren Verwendung und Verfahren zu deren Anwendung

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist die Herstellung von Polyestern unter Verwendung von Alkylzinn-Katalysatoren. Diese sind gekennzeichnet durch Alkylzinn-Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel 1: (I) R<a<SnX<b<(OR')<c< wobei: a + b + c = 4 sind, a und c jeweils mindestens = 1 oder groesser sind, b = 0, 1 oder 2 ist, R eine Alkylgruppe mit 1-12 C-Atomen ist, X eine OH-Gruppe oder Sauerstoff ist R' entweder eine verzweigte oder unverzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen ist, oder R' eine 1-Oxoalkylgruppe mit 2-11 C-Atomen ist, welche ggf. verzweigt sein kann, oder OR' eine Gruppe -OTi(OR'')<3< ist, R'' eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen ist, oder R'' eine Gruppe R<a<SnX<b< in einer der oben beschriebenen Bedeutungen ist.

USE - The catalyst is useful for the production of polymers and polycondensation products of oligo- and polyalcohols with terephthalic acid derivatives, preferably polymers having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.8 dL/g and color numbers (CIE LAB) having a b-factor of no greater than 0.3 and/or an a-factor of no greater than 0 and a negative b-value of blue-shifted b-value (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The alkyl tin compounds (I) have high catalytic activity at low temperature and concentration.
