Ein Leuchtmittel ist mit einem Schichtsystem zur Reflektierung abgegebener infraroter Strahlung versehen. Das Leuchtmittel ist mindestens teilweise mit einem fuer sichtbares Licht transparenten Schichtsystem umgeben. Von innen nach aussen ist eine innere Schicht (20) aus einem Isolator beziehungsweise Dielektrikum, darueber eine zweite Schicht (30) aus einem transparenten Metall und darueber eine Schicht (40) aus einem Isolator beziehungsweise Dielektrikum vorgesehen.
