Abstract
The drive system has at least one actuator (5) utilising a solid state body effect. A plate type driving element (1), which is divided into segments (2,2') by slits (3,3'). So that with the slits a solid state body joint (4) is defined providing the axis of rotation. At least one actuator (5) is provided, which supports itself outside the axis of rotation, with respectively one end at each one of the two segments (2,2'). A tubular component is provided which is positioned on the casing surfaces of the segments (2,2'). The actuator(s) is or are piezoelectric, electrostrictive or magnetostrictive elements. ADVANTAGE - Provides very high rotation angle resolution across large rotational range. Simply built and can be universally used.
