Abstract
The invention relates to a flexible and non-conducting, artificial, impantable nerve plate having a modulus of elasticity of about 3000-1000 N/mm->2 and a thickness of < 50 <my>m for inlaying and inserting between the fasciclus of a nerve bundle, having several electrodes on both sides of the nerve plate, said electrodes being connected with a cable integrated with the nerve plate via lines inside the nerve plate, and said cable being connectable to a controlling and signal receiving unit.
