The invention relates to a projector which projects documents in magnified form on a projection screen in daylight or in slightly darkened rooms. It is characterized by the fact that the Fresnel lens (2) is designed for an image distance of 200 mm, the distance (a) of the object plane (3) and the projection unit (7) is adjustable between 840 mm and 920 mm, the projection lens (4) has a focal length of 776 mm and a relative aperture of 1 : 8.44 and the distance (b) between the projection unit (7) and the projection screen (6) is 4000 mm to 7000 mm.
