Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Polymerfarbstoffe auf der Basis von Dicyanomethylen (DCM) sowie dessen Herstellung. Diese Polymerfarbstoffe finden Verwendung als rot-emittierende Schichten in organischen, optischen Bauelementen, insbesondere in Leuchtdioden.

WO2003018711 A UPAB: 20030723 NOVELTY - New polymer dyes are based on a 4-dicyanomethylene-pyran compound (I), which has a 4-N-(polymer)-amino-styryl substituent in the 2- and/or 6-position(s), in which the polymer skeleton is e.g. polyester, polyamide, polyurea or polyurethane. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - New polymer dyes are based on a 4-dicyanomethylene-pyran compound of formula (I); R2, R3 = a group of formula (II) in at least one case, otherwise H, linear, branched or cyclic 1-20 C alkyl or alkoxy or aryl: R1, R4, R5, R6, R7 = H or linear, branched or cyclic 1-20 C alkyl or alkoxy groups; R1R2, R4R7 and/or R5R6 may = a carbocyclic bridge; R6 and/or R7 = a polymer skeleton, e.g. polyester, polyamide, polyurea or polyurethane. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the preparation of (I) by: (a) condensing a 2-(pyran-6-yl)-malonodinitrile (III) with an aminobenzaldehyde (IV); and (b) reacting the intermediate 2-(4-aminostyryl)-pyran (V) with a comonomer, e.g. dicarboxylic acid, acid chloride or anhydride or diisocyanate, to form (I). USE - Polymer dyes (I) are used for producing organic optical devices, e.g. light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) (all claimed). They are useful as red-emitting layers in these devices. ADVANTAGE - The emission maximum of (I) is in the red region of the spectrum and (I) are easily processed.
