One of the challenges lies in defining a uniform, standardized procedure for recording data. Criteria such as the format, quality and quantity of the data to be recorded play an important role here. However, the market maturity of digital lifecycle records is not sufficient to both record information transparently within the company and to make this information accessible across companies in a dynamic value creation system. Based on this initial situation, developed concepts, both based on previous literature reviews on the current state of the technology, as well as drafts and results during research projects carried out, will be presented with a critical review of which current challenges need to be solved for successful implementation.enDigital Lifecycle recordsnetwork value creation structuresintercompany networkingplant data managementDigital Lifecycle Records as an enabler for networked value creationjournal article
