Compared to a short fiber-reinforced variation of the same component, the 3DSW-reinforced part offers a higher load bearing capacity at lower component mass. In a separate investigation, a workflow for the Finite Element Analysis of 3D filament wound skeleton structures is proposed, implemented and validated. The FEA-based predictions of the specimen’s stiffness and failure load are within the scatter range of the experimentally determined values.en3D Skeleton Winding3DSWlocal reinforcementinjection moldingFinite Element AnalysisFEAgeometry analysisDDC::500 Naturwissenschaften und Mathematik::540 Chemie3D Skeleton Winding (3DSW) - Robot-based 3D Filament Winding and FEA-based Dimensioning of Skeleton-like Continuous Fiber-Reinforcements for Thermoplastic Structural Partspresentation
