In terms of saving resources and environmental protection, the recovery of nutrients from residues can represent a cost-effective and sustainable way of resource usage. Using ceramic, temperature-stable, chemically resistant and abrasion-proof membrane contactors is a promising technology for recovering ammoniacal nitrogen (NH4/NH3) from aqueous residues. The application offers the opportunity to produce valuable fertilizer products, such as ammonium sulfate solution, from residual materials in a compact membrane process with low energy input, thereby reducing the disposal of water containing nitrogen and CO2 emissions.ennutrient recoverytransmembrane chemisorptionceramic membrane contactormembrane extractionnitrogen600 Technik, Medizin, angewandte Wissenschaften::620 Ingenieurwissenschaften::620 Ingenieurwissenschaften und zugeordnete TätigkeitenNutrient recovery using ceramic membrane contactorsposter
