The prototype covers the System Builder area of VITAMIN ESPRIT I project n. 1556. Purpose of this toolkit is to demonstrate feasibility of UIMS and System Builder approaches within CIM work area. It allows the design and the fully automatic implementation of an user interface using graphic and interactive tools. Prototype implementation has been carried out on DEC GPX II workstation and BULL workstation, both using Unix Operating System, and X-Window System. Toolkit performances have been evaluated through a test benchmark especially aimed at controlling system packages and shop floor monitoring. Qualifying features of the prototype are portability, introduction of graphics and standards, and easy customization to different application fields.enBenutzerschnittstelleDialoggeneratordialogue generatorinteractive toolsinteraktive Werkzeugeman-machine diaglogueMensch-Maschine-DialogSeeheim-Modelluser interface004System builder area of VITAMIN project description - major achievements.Das System-Generator-Konzept des VITAMIN-Projektsbook article
