Tersch, H.H.Tersch2022-03-092022-03-091996https://publica.fraunhofer.de/handle/publica/326436Buckling-springs use the force-displacement characteristic of buckling beams. When load is applied, the deformation is initially very small. Beyond the critical load bending occurs and the deformation increases rapidly. If the load is still increased, it rises slowly with increasing deformation. Combining buckling-springs with conventional springs it is possible to obtain various spring-characteristics. Some applications are discussed. Results from fatigue tests are presented. A normalized S-N curve is used to generalize the results. A desing method is suggested.debucklingdeformationfatigue behaviourFederglasfaserverstärkter Kunststoffglass fiber reinforced plasticsKnickungmachine buildingMaschinenbauSchwingfestigkeitsverhaltenspringVerformung620Knickfedern aus GFK.
