This contributes to an increase of the market potential for BIPV products and calls for a reduction of the energy needs for heating and cooling of the existing and new constructed buildings. One approach to reduce costs in the building sector is the standardization of products, which helps improve the quality and reliability of the product. The goal of this project is to develop a Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) façade multifunctional product which could be used for both retrofitting and new construction. Simplicity of construction and cost-effectiveness are to be kept in focus. A first sketch and prototype of the module is to be developed.
