Given such fully coherent system it is possible to conduct beamforming after digitizing in different directions for transmission and reception. In the case of multipath reflections the transmit beam points to another direction than the receive beam. Multi-bounce reflections exhibit detailed information, allowing for instance to look behind a corner or add the ability to extract motion vectors of a target instead of only scalars. First of all this requires the detection of the multi-bounce reflections before they can be exploited. The presented technique in this paper is called SSAP (space-space adaptive processing).en621Multipath Detection by Using Space-Space Adaptive Processing (SSAP) with MIMO Radarconference paper
