Another beneficial tool for a better technology assessment is the technology readiness level (TRL) system indicating the maturity of a technology in its developing stages. Our approach was to analyze the mentioned PV roadmaps' contents and introduce the existing TRLs. After analyzing the roadmaps, we emphasize on the International technology roadmap for photovoltaics (ITRPV) as our roadmap of choice, since 93% of it focused on technology projections. We propose a way to list technology roadmap topics, research and development fields and PV technology by using the ITRPV structure and content. The idea of combining the TRL concept to PV technologies is introduced supporting the introduction of a standardized “keyword”. This keyword takes the form “{Topic}-{R&D Field}-{PV technology}-TRL{XX}”. In this paper a method is suggested to propose independent parameters affecting TRL for each of the materials, processes and products. In turn these parameters have threshold values for each TRL, thus allowing a quantitative way to assign TRLs. The effort to have a structured common keyword system for all entities and persons in photovoltaics research and development aims to contribute in the innovation management of PV.enPV Produktionstechnologie und QualitätssicherungPhotovoltaikSilicium-PhotovoltaikTechnologiebewertungPhotovoltaic Development Standardizing Based on Roadmaps and Technology Readiness Levelsconference paper
