However, solar cell technologies such as chalcogenide, organic, III-V or perovskite solar cells, all have their own niche markets or potentials. The aim of this work is to provide an overview and comparison of the different solar cell technologies for the application in integrated photovoltaics. The current statuses of the technologies are reviewed. Characteristics relevant for integrated photovoltaics are defined and each technology is discussed regarding those key influencing factors.
