Fluorescent and non-fluorescent regions consist of identical output materials, where intensity of emission of the fluorescent region is 10 times greater than that of the non-fluorescent region. The structures are generated by radiation sources e.g. neodymium-doped yttrium orthovanadate/yttrium lithium fluoride laser, argon- and krypton fluoride lasers and fluorine- and xenon lasers.
