In order to an effective characterisation of ceramic materials for high temperature applications a less expensive method for dynamic fatigue at elevated temperatures on bending specimens precracked by Vickers indentations is proposed. An interesting combination of properties for high temperature applications could be obtained for a silicon nitride material with 16%Nd2O3 and AIN. Besides a high creep resistance additionally a very small susceptibility to slow crack growth in this material was found.decrack healingcreephigh temperaturehohe TemperaturKriechenmechanical propertymechanische EigenschaftRißausheilungsilicon nitrideSiliziumnitridsubcritical crack growthunterkritische Rissausbreitung666620Hochtemperaturcharakterisierung von Siliziumnitridwerkstoffen durch dynamische ErmüdungHigh temperature characterization of silicon nitride materials by dynamic fatiguejournal article
